MORE than 800 visitors enjoyed the celebrations at the 100th Hovingham Village Market.
Ten "pioneer" stallholders, who were at the first market in October 2009, were presented with golden rosettes by the Hovingham Market Group. Special guests included John Dyson, president of the National Traders Association, and William Oxley, chairman of Ryedale District Council.
Volunteer market manager Chris Stark said: āIād like to thank everyone who helped with the market this month and made our 100th celebrations truly special.ā
The next Hovingham Village Market is on Saturday, March 3, from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
