THREE lambs have been attacked by a dog in the Moors.
Police said that the lambs were discovered in a field in Chop Gate near St Hilda's Church on January 28, at around 2.20pm.
They were found with "injuries consistent with being attacked by a dog".
Police said: "This kind of incident causes distress not just to the livestock but also to the owners of the livestock.
"Please be responsible and keep dogs under control and on leads if near livestock.
"If anyone has any information to identify the dog and the owner responsible please contact NYP on 101 quoting reference 12180020955 or email PC1452 David Mackay on david.mackay@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk."
