A WOMAN was injured and left in shock when three masked raiders burst into her home and "made various demands" in front of her three-year-old child.

North Yorkshire Police said the aggravated burglary happened at a property in Bramham Road, York, at about 12.20pm on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman said: "The suspect entered the address, which was occupied by a woman and her three-year-old child, and made various demands of the victim before making their escape.

"The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident and has been left in shock. Fortunately the child was not hurt during the ordeal."

The spokeswoman said the woman suffered injuries to her leg in the incident, but nothing had been stolen from the property.

Officers have appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, or who has any information about the incident, to contact police.
