THE council have put out an appeal through the community messaging service about three dogs which have gone missing.
The first appeal concerns two Labrador dogs which went missing yesterday (January 14) between Sheriff Hutton and Bulmer.
One of the dogs is black, the other yellow, and both are described as young, friendly and chipped, with blue collars.
Another appeal this afternoon concerns a grey Bedlington Terrier.
The terrier, which is wearing a collar and is chipped, escaped from a garden in the Castlegate area of Pickering, Monday January 15, in the early afternoon.
The dog is described as being very timid.
If anyone has any information for either appeal please contact Ryedale District Council at communityteam@ryedale.gov.uk or telephone 01653 600666.
Police update, January 17 2018: The two Labradors that were reported missing between Bulmer and Sheriff Hutton have returned home.
