STAFF at Ryedale School are donning their running shoes to help raise funds towards extending its facilities.
An extension is currently being built at the school, as well as the refurbishment of existing classrooms.
The building work will be paid for from the school’s funding, however, staff also wanted to do their bit by taking part in a 30-mile marathon on Saturday, January 27.
Domenica Wilkinson, the school’s secondary director, said: “A few colleagues are attempting the full course, whilst others have committed to running a 15 mile or 7.5 mile leg as part of a team.
“We also have a group walking the course. We are determined to raise as much money as we can for Ryedale School and would greatly appreciate your support.”
