NORTON College has a new minibus to transport their students to extra-curricular activities.

The minibus was bought with funds from the Norton College Trust, along with support from two former members of staff, Richard Young, an ex-deputy head teacher, and Chris Bateman, formerly head of rural services.

Des MacPhee, business manager, said: “All schools need to be able to access transport as a lot of learning and activities take place beyond the school gates, so owning a new minibus that is reliable and efficient makes life so much easier.

“It means teachers can be more spontaneous and adventurous with scheduling trips, visits and fixtures.

“Everyone at the college is very grateful to Richard and Chris, in particular, who kindly agreed to donate money needed to buy this bus.”
