A WOMAN was threatened with a knife during a robbery at her home.

The victim was threatened after she disturbed two men who were in the house on Cedar Road, Middlesbrough, at around 7.20pm last night.

They had taken the keys to a silver Vauxhall Zafira before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "The suspects were disturbed by a woman living at the address, who was then threatened with a knife. Thankfully the woman was uninjured.

"The men then made off in the stolen car, which was later recovered by police."

The first suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s, of thin build with a pale complexion, around 6ft tall and wearing dark clothing.

The second suspect is described as a white man aged in his late teens, of slim build, around 5ft 9ins tall and wearing dark clothing.

  • Officers would appeal for anyone with private CCTV in the area to check their cameras for any footage which may assist their investigation.
