A MAN has died after being stabbed while in a Middlesbrough restaurant.
The victim, Mazhar Ali, was stabbed inside Manjaros restaurant in Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough on Christmas Eve.
Cleveland Police said the 41-year-old, from Stockton, was taken to James Cook University Hospital suffering from a stab wound and was in a critical condition. Sadly, Mr Ali died today due to his injuries.
Officers were called to the incident in Manjaros restaurant on Linthorpe Road at 3.40pm.
The premises will not be open for the next few days.
- A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder and carrying an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today.
