A FESTIVE fundraiser has raised more than £1,300 for a cancer charity.
The Pickering Committee of Yorkshire Cancer Research held their annual Christmas fundraising event at Pickering Co-Op at the end of last, raising £1,338.25.
Event organiser Barry Howard: “I would like to thank the staff and customers of Pickering Co-Op for their generosity. I would like to give special thanks to Pickering printers HPE for producing a range of Christmas cards entitled “Ryedale scenes in Winter” based on watercolours by local artist Malcolm Short.”
The competition to guess the birthday of Snoopy the Dog was won by five-year-old Daniel Nersessian, from Newton-on-Rawcliffe.
