POLICE are appealing for a driver to come forward who they believe may have witnessed a fatal collision in East Yorkshire.

Humberside Police said the collision, involving an 86-year-old pedestrian and a white Mercedes Sprinter van, happened on November 8 in The Balk at Pocklington.

The elderly man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, the force added.

A police spokesman said: "We would like a van diver who was was travelling along The Balk at the time to contact us, as we believe he may have seen the accident and could help us with our investigation.

"The van has been described as small and blue, quite old and rusty."

Humberside Police want the driver to get in touch by phoning 101, quoting log 159 of 08/11/17.
