PICKERING Medical Practice has held a poster competition in conjunction with local schools to help promote its annual flu campaign.
There were two categories for under sevens and seven to 11-year olds with pupils from Pickering Infants, Pickering Juniors, St Joseph’s in Pickering, Thornton-le-dale and Sinnington primary schools taking part.
Nicola Scott, patient support team manager, said: "The children were invited to create a poster to encourage patients to come and get their flu jab. We had a fantastic response from all the schools with over 65 posters submitted."
The winner of the under sevens category was Jacob Johnson, from Pickering Infants School, and the winner of the seven to1 years was Rose Turnbull, from Thornton-le-Dale Primary School.
The two winners received a year-long pass to Dalby Forest and had their entries made in to posters which have been displayed in the surgery.
