A GROUP of crafty knitters in Malton have compiled their creations for a "show and tell".

The Knit and Natter group which meets at Harrisons in Malton each month was started in 2013 by the Age UK Scarborough group.

Initially meeting at Malton library, the group moved to Harrisons about 18 months ago.

Brenda Lambert, from the group, said they were a sociable bunch. “A lot of the ladies have made friends,” she said. “Some people make toys, some people do it for charity - it’s a nice little group.

“We just decided to have a show and tell.”

The knitters brought cushions, sweaters, cardigans, and crocheted blankets and scarves.

Ms Lambert said everyone got inspiration from the work. “I was amazed at how much there was. They did well - we filled the table,” she said.

Since 2013, the group has raised about £1,800 for Age UK Scarborough through voluntary donations.
