A WINE-TASTING evening featuring more than 100 wines is taking place to raise money for charity.

The Christmas wine tasting evening, which is happening from 5.30pm until 9pm on November 30 at the Milton Rooms in Malton, is being billed as a good opportunity to find some wines for the festive period or as a gift.

The organisers said: “It is a charitable event which has, in the past, been a great success.

“This year the charities who are receiving the donations are St Catherine’s Hospice and New Futures Nepal.

“On the night itself, suppliers will be showing over 100 wines from all corners of the globe and to suit all pockets.

“This is the ideal time to stock up on Christmas wines and presents as there will be offers on the night and presentation packages available.”

Entrance to the tasting is £7.50 on the door with all proceeds being split between the two above charities.

St Catherine’s is a hospice based in Scarborough. New Futures Nepal funds development in that country.
