BOOTHAM Crescent has been chosen to host England Under-18 Schoolboys' international clash with Scotland.

The game, which is organised by the English Schools' Football Association (ESFA), will take place at York City's home on Friday, March 23 (kick-off 7pm) and forms part of the Centenary Shield competition.

The ESFA has been the national governing body for schools’ football in England since 1904, developing players and supporting numerous talented schoolboys on their way into the pro game.

The squad for the game will consist of the best schools' footballers, and feature only players who have represented their county or been nominated by their local County Schools' FA.

Ticket details for the encounter will be announced in due course.
