A MAN had to be airlifted to hospital after an industrial accident at a farm this weekend.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to farmland at Fordon Lane, Staxton, near Scarborough, at just before 8pm on Saturday,
Crews from Malton, Scarborough, and Filey attended the scene, where a spokesman said "a male had become trapped in farm machinery by his leg".
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release the man from machinery, and he was flown to Hull Royal Infirmary by Air Ambulance.
Further details about the man's injuries could not be confirmed.
