TEN MAN York City crashed to a 3-2 home defeat to Tamworth at Bootham Crescent this afternoon.
After falling two goals behind, battling back to 2-2, and losing David Ferguson to a red card in between, the Minstermen were beaten by a last-minute sucker punch.
Lambs striker Reece Styche was their initial tormentor-in-chief, scoring either side of half-time with simple opportunities following woeful defending by the hosts.
Big Jon Parkin pulled a goal back for City in the 56th minute, but City’s hopes were dealt a blow five minutes later when Ferguson received his marching orders for hauling down Bradley Reid.
Despite that, the home side were level 21 minutes from time when substitute and debutant Daniel Rowe levelled things up with a close-range finish.
The Minstermen pushed for all three points, but ended with none as Tamworth broke away in the 90-minute, and Darryl Knights fired home off the post.
