HABTON Rd near Kirby Misperton has been re-opened after anti-fracking protests forced its closure this morning.

Four people locked themselves into concrete and metal devices at different ends of the road at around 6.45am today.

Habton Road was closed, and residents and businesses were urged to use alternative routes for their journeys.

However police said at 1pm that the four people have been cut out of their 'lock-ons' and arrested.

They were cut out of concrete and metal devices by police with specialist equipment.

Habton Road is now open to all traffic.
