Police want to speak to this man in connection with the theft
A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to after the theft of a purse and £700 in North Yorkshire.
Police said a man approached an elderly victim in Horsefair, Boroughbridge, and distracted her by asking for directions.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police added: "While doing this, he stole the victim’s purse from her handbag and walked off. £700 cash was later taken from her account using her bank card."
The purse theft happened at about 10am on September 11.
