Biker seriously injured after 'losing control' and coming off his motorcycle
A BIKER suffered serious injuries after coming off his motorcycle near York.
Police said the crash happened on the B1246 between Pocklington and Barmby Moor at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said the biker, a 25-year-old man, was riding a Honda Vision when he "lost control around a corner" and came off his bike.
The spokesman added: "He sustained serious injuries to his shoulder and was taken to hospital. No-one else was involved in the accident."
