A CARE home in North Yorkshire received a royal visit.
Princess Anne visited Alne Hall, the Leonard Cheshire Disability care home, in her role as patron of global volunteering charity, Lattitude.
The Princess Royal met Greg Clark, chief executive officer of Lattitude, Hugh Fenn from Leonard Cheshire Disability, service manager Paul Elliot and Flight Lieutenant Paul Taylor, from nearby RAF Linton-on-Ouse. She toured facilities including a computer room and a collection of 100 photographs that celebrate the centenary of Leonard Cheshire’s birth.
Mr Fenn said: “We’re delighted to able to welcome Her Royal Highness to Alne Hall, which has such special links with the local air base and our founder, Leonard Cheshire.”
Princess Anne was shown around the sensory garden by volunteer gardener Martin Wintermeyer, and presented with a gift and flowers from resident Philip Smith and Deborah Foreman.
