COMEDY fans are in for a treat next year when Jason Manford brings his brand new show to the region.

The popular TV comic will be performing Muddle Class at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Friday, July 6.

Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday morning, with the gig marking a hugely welcome Teesside return for Jason after a string of sold-out shows at the Town Hall over the last few years.

He said: “Somebody said to me on my Facebook page, ‘it’s been ages since you toured.’ I thought ‘no way, it was last year wasn’t it?

“Anyway, long story short, they were right, it was years ago. I just got fooled cos I’ve been on tour doing musicals and the last tour is repeated on Dave ja Vu 13 times a day.

“So I’ve been putting some stuff together, looking at my life and how it’s changed over the years, how the world has changed, and how my parents haven’t changed a bit! It’s going to be a great tour, and I can’t wait to see everyone there.”

The star is the latest comedians confirmed to perform at the venue with Russell Brand, Sarah Millican and Joe Lycett all due next year.

Rob Guest of Middlesbrough Town Hall said: “Jason has always gone down an absolute storm here at the Town Hall, and we can’t wait to see him back here with his brand-new show.”

Tickets costing £27.50 go on sale 10am this Friday from www.ticketmaster.co.uk
