POLICE believe that two burglaries in York may be linked.
North Yorkshire Police was called at about 8.20pm on Sunday to reports of a burglary at a property in Mallard Close, Osbaldwick.
A spokeswoman for the force said jewellery, a safe and documentation were stolen.
Police are conducting inquiries and are appealing for information about any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
Meanwhile, a property in Millfield Lane, off Hull Road, was also burgled on Sunday.
Police were called about the incident at just before 11pm on Sunday.
The property was damaged but it is believed nothing was stolen.
The spokeswoman added: "Investigations are ongoing. We believe the two incidents may be connected. No arrests have been made."
