FIRE crews from Malton and Sherburn have been mobilised to a report of a gas leak in a premises.
The call came at around 1.15pm from a building on Showfield Lane, Malton.
A fire spokesperson said a gas leak had been suspected because of a hissing noise.
On arrival however, crews found that the noise was being created by spray adhesive cans "spontaneously gassing off".
The reason was unspecified.
Crews left the premises and gave advice to the owners.
