THE organisers of Moorsbus have said there is still time to use their service to go into the Moors for an autumn walk, with buses running until the end of this month.

The company has also announced changes to its MoorsPlus service in 2018; an add-on ticket will be introduced providing travel on trains and MoorsPlus bus services - all on one ticket.

Bill Breakell, Moorsbus spokesman, said: “2017 has been a very successful season for Moorsbus – but it is not over yet.

“There’s still plenty of time to enjoy an autumn day out on the Moors, and moorsbus.org is packed with ideas, including a fast-growing selection of Buswalks, which combine a trip on the Moorsbus with an easy-to-follow linear walk ranging from two to eight miles. We’ve something for all the family.

“Our MoorRewards programme is growing all the time. And, as well as benefiting from the many discounts on offer, those who join the Friends of Moorsbus are also helping to keep our growing network of bus services on the road, not just this year, but also for 2018 and beyond.”

Moorsbus services operate every Sunday until September 24, with direct services to the National Park from Malton. MoorsPlus journeys run every Saturday and Monday until September 30, serving York, train passengers at Malton and Danby stations.
