FIVE people have been charged with offences at Kirby Misperton yesterday.
Protesters have gathered at the Third Energy gas well in Kirby Misperton, near Pickering, as preparation work begins.
A 18-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer in the execution of her duty, and assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty, at Kirby Misperton.
A 26-year-old woman has been charged with obstructing a police officer.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with obstructing the highway.
A 35-year-old woman has been charged with obstructing the highway.
A 44-year-old woman has been charged with obstructing the highway.
All five will appear at York Magistrates Court next month.
The total arrested at Kirby Misperton this week is 12. Outcomes are as follows:
1. no further action;
2. caution for obstructing a police officer;
3. caution for obstructing a highway;
4. charged with obstructing a highway;
5. charged with obstructing a highway;
6. charged with obstructing a highway;
7. charged with obstructing a highway;
8. charged with assaulting a police officer x 2;
9. charged with obstructing a police officer;
