TRIBUTE has been paid to a loving father who died after being knocked from his bike last week in Stockton.
51-year-old Robert Andrew Burns was taken to James Cook University Hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision which occurred on Norton Road roundabout at the Durham Bypass turnoff at 11.55am on Tuesday, September 12.
Cleveland Police confirmed that he died last night.
A sokeswoman said: "Mr Burns leaves behind a 25-year-old daughter and a 30-year-old son who are deeply saddened by the loss of their father.
"Mr Burns was cycling when a collision with a Vauxhall Zafira occurred. The 44-year-old female driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and is currently under investigation."
