A YOUNG family have won 500 litres of domestic heating oil for their new home thanks to the Gazette & Herald.
The Morgans – mum Su, dad Dave and daughters Evelyn, three, and Elsie, 18 months – got the warm welcome to their new home thanks to family-owned fuel company Rix Petroleum and the Gazette.
The family were just in the process of moving into their new house in Thornton-le-Clay when Su, 38, spotted the competition and decided to enter on the spur of the moment.
Su said: “We’ve just moved into the property and never had a heating oil tank, so I saw the competition and thought it would be good to enter. But I didn’t expect to win.
“So, when I got an email to say we had, the first thing I thought was ‘I’m so glad the house completed'."
Duncan Lambert, director of Rix Petroleum Ltd, said: "We like to give people the opportunity to win 500 litres of fuel, delivered free to their door, as one of a few ways of giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years."
