Five public and regulatory bodies will hold a drop-in event about fracking at Kirby Misperton Village Hall on September 7.

The Environment Agency, the Health and Safety Executive, the Oil and Gas Authority, Public Health England and Ryedale District Council will all be represented at the event, which runs from 2pm until 7pm.

They have arranged it to explain to local people what they have been doing since permission was granted for fracking in the area and how they work together to ensure that activities by the oil and gas industry, including fracking, do not endanger people or risk harming the environment.
