A NEW village market is to be held in Ampleforth.
It will be held on the last Saturday of each month, with the first market this weekend, from 10am to 1pm.
Annabelle Robinson, one of the organisers, said: "Come along and support a varied selection of local businesses selling their wares. There will be a vibrant market of more than 30 stalls, and an eclectic mix from the finest food to arts and crafts to inspire you.
"The market will include locally-reared meat, home-baking and skilled patisserie, locally-grown cut flowers, handmade chocolate, cheese, artisan bread, arts and crafts, plus much more."
Stallholders will include The Clucking Pig, High Farndale, Annabelle's Farm Gate, Ali Bradley Pottery, Renaissance Cakes, Ryedale Cheeses, Nesfield & Piercy, White Cottage Catering Company and many more.
It will take place behind The White Swan pub, which will also be serving tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches.
