FAMILES are enjoying a feast of fun at Beck Isle Museum in Pickering.

The attraction is holding a range of family friendly events throughout the school holidays with a variety of themes each week.

Museum manager Ella Rose said: “We are inviting visitors to get creative with craft activities suitable for the whole family, with a different theme each fortnight.”

Activities held so far include “on the farm” and “under the sea”. The next theme is Victorian toys, which will run until September 3.

Ella added: “We are also inviting people to see the museum brought to life on our Rural Craft Day on Wednesday, August 30, as our skilled volunteers demonstrate traditional rural crafts including rag rugging and butter making.

“See the magnificent Columbian printing press in action and find out more about the various medicines, pills and remedies in the chemist chop.”

For younger visitors storytime sessions for the under fives takes place on Friday, August 25, from 10.30am to 11.30am. For details, go to beckislemuseum.org.uk
