POLICE have released CCTV images of men they wish to speak to after an 11-year-old boy was bitten by a dog so badly he needed plastic surgery.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police investigating the incident said it happened in Robin Hood’s Bay.

The attack took place just after 6.10pm on Thursday, August 17, when the boy was bitten by a brindle-coloured Boxer dog outside the Fish and Chip shop on Albion Road in the seaside town.

The boy, who is from the South Yorkshire area, was taken to Scarborough Hospital by road ambulance before being transferred to York.

He suffered "significant facial injuries which required plastic surgery".

Police are now appealing to the public to help identify the men in the images.
