A PLANE crash landed in a field in North Yorkshire.
The pilot, 67, and a 12-year-old boy escaped unhurt after the light aircraft came down in a field close to Dunsley Hall, on the outskirts of Whitby, at about 12.45pm yesterday.
North Yorkshire Police said the pair were on a sight-seeing flight from Fishburn, County Durham, when the aircraft suffered mechanical problems.
A spokesman for the force commented: "Tees Valley Air Traffic Control contacted North Yorkshire Police at 12.48pm on Thursday to report a light aircraft had made an emergency landing in a field near Dunsley Hall on the outskirts of Whitby.
"Neither occupant were were injured and the aircraft undamaged.
"The pilot is making arrangements for the aircraft to be repaired and recovered."
