PUPILS at Norton Primary School got on their bikes to raise funds to maintain their cycling equipment.
The Year 6 children took part in a sponsored bike ride from the school in Grove Street to the top of Langton Hill.
Sports teacher Tom Myers said: "A total of 48 Year 6 children completed a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for the maintenance of the school bikes, which are regularly used to help the pupils complete their bikeability course and for mountain bike trips to Dalby Forest. All the children did extremely well and managed to conquer the daunting Langton Hill ascent. Well done Year 6."
The pupils also took part in the end of term sports week, which had Olympic games.
Mr Myers said: "Thank you very much to Hayes travel for sponsoring our annual sports day this allows the school to purchase stickers and badges for our modern Olympics and Interhouse Athletics events. Well done to all the children who took part."
