POLICE are appealing for the public's help after two men verbally abused and spat in the face of someone who had confronted them for littering.
Officers wish to speak to the men pictured in the CCTV images in relation to the incident.
It happened on Burr Bank, Scarborough, at around 5.30pm on Saturday August 12, 2017.
The victim, a 36-year-old man from Scarborough, had been on the Regal Lady cruise with his wife and two children.
Police said that as the family were disembarking the boat, the victim confronted three men who were littering.
Two of those three men then grabbed the victim by his throat, spat in his face "repeatedly" and verbally abused him.
The men then made off on foot.
Anyone with any information or who can help identify the men in the CCTV images is asked to contact police.
