SCAMPSTON’S Fairy Godmothers will be telling magical tales throughout the summer holidays and teaching children how to find a real life fairy.
On Thursday, August 17, at 11am, and Tuesday, August 22, at 2pm, young families are invited to join a fairytale walk through the gardens of Scampston Hall.
The walks will be very interactive with tales of witches, princesses, giants and dragons. All children dressed in magical costume will gain free entry on the days of the story-telling walks.
Isobel Pritchard, Scampston’s marketing and visitor services manager, said: “The launch of the fairy trail in Easter has proved hugely successful, with the number of younger visitors up 30 per cent on last year.
“We are delighted that the gardens are proving so popular with families, and hope to continue to provide wholesome family fun, where children have the freedom to be children, while learning more about the natural world and how to protect it.”
Activity sheets and fairy outfits can be collected from the ticket office at no additional cost. No booking is required.
