A WOMAN killed in a crash on the A64 has been named by police.

Jackie Lamb, 70, from Settrington, near Malton, was driving a red Citroen Berlingo on the A64 near Scagglethorpe last Monday when the crash happened.

North Yorkshire Police released her name today, along with a statement from her family.

It read: "Norman, Vicki, Nicholas Lamb and their families are devastated at the loss of Jackie Lamb in this tragic accident.

"Jackie was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to many. She was a well known and much loved figure in Settrington and beyond. She was a founding member of the tennis club and she will be sorely missed for her many unsung acts of social charity."

The crash happened at about 3pm on Monday, July 31, and police are still looking for anyone who saw the collision or any of the vehicles prior to the crash.

The other vehicles involved in the collision were a black Kia Sportage and a silver Hyundai i20.
