AN afternoon tea party is being held on Sunday, July 30 to raise funds for next year’s Slingsby May Day celebrations.
The May Day events have been an important part of village life in Slingsby for centuries, with children in the village dancing round the Maypole. The tea party will be held at Croft Dene, The Balk, Slingsby, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, and include tea, cakes and music.
The garden is wheelchair and dog friendly and everyone is welcome.
