THE new head boy and head girl team have been elected at Malton School.
The new Kay Stage 4 team are head boy Thomas Williamson, from Barton-le Street, head girl Megan Clibbens, from Filey, deputy head boy Isaac Rice, from Malton, and deputy head girl Lucy Godrich, from Great Barugh.
The team were voted in by their Year 10 peers and the staff at Malton School.
Donna Johnson, head of Key Stage 4, said: “The head boy and girl elections took place alongside the general election. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got a buzz from the atmosphere around an internal and general election.
“It is really exciting for the students to take part in elections for these posts. Being a head boy, head girl and deputy will allow the students to practice public speaking and act as role models for younger students.
"They will be the voices of the school and will work alongside each other and staff as a team.”
