POLICE have issued a warning to drivers to stop using Dalby forest as "a race track".

In a community message police said they have received complaints from forest rangers about cars "driving at speed around Adderstone Field and throughout Dalby forest" over the last few weeks.

They added: "This is normally late evening but today we have had two cars speeding around Adderstone Field close to where school children were playing.

"Both drivers have been dealt with but can I please remind you that Dalby Forest is not a race track.

"If you are caught driving in an anti-social manner within the forest you will risk getting a section 59 warning or worse and ultimately risk your vehicle being seized by Police.

"This behaviour will not be tolerated. Officers will from now on be patrolling in the area.

"You have been warned."
