A YORK photographer has won a series of awards for her pictures of dogs.
Annemarie King, known to her clients as The Phodographer, has worked in pictures for 25 years, and took up animal work five years ago, taking thousands of photos of puppies and hounds in hundreds of shoots.
Last month, the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) in Yorkshire awarded her two Merit and the overall Winner awards, for the picture of West Highland Terrier, Lola.
After that, she was also presented with the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year, winning the Man’s Best Friend category, for an image of Gus the Jack Russell terrier with his family on a hike.
Annemarie said: “It’s something I feel very lucky to be able to call my job.
“There is nothing quite like the bond between a dog and a human, and capturing these moments is both a joy and an honour.
“Photos like this one of Gus and his Mum and Dad are the reason I created The Phodographer. Dogs make such an impression on our lives but their time with us is sadly all too short.”
