YORKSHIRE have announced The Emerald Group, a Bingley based publishing group, has acquired the naming rights to Headingley.

The deal, commencing in November, has been described as a "significant" one by club and is in conjunction with Leeds Rhinos.

It is understood to be worth £10m over the next 10 years. It also includes the naming rights for the new North/South Stand upon completion in 2019.

Headingley will be renamed Emerald Headingley Stadium.

Yorkshire chief executive Mark Arthur said: “We are very excited to enter into partnership with Emerald Group, who have just celebrated 50 years since being founded in Bradford in 1967.

“This is a unique joint venture between the club, the Rhinos and Emerald, and underpins the development of the North-South stand, which will now be called The Emerald Stand.”
