ORGANISERS of this year’s Malton Show say it has been 'a perfect show day'.
Celebrating its 131st anniversary, the show was once again held at Scampston Park, near Rillington, on Sunday.
Following rain during the week, the clouds broke to provide warm sunshine for the day.
Alan Tate-Smith, chairman of the Malton Agricultural Society, said: “It has been a great day and everything has gone very well.
"There have been plenty of people here and everything points to a successful show."
Alan said this was his third year as chairman.
"Malton Show is one of North Yorkshre's best-loved summer attractions with horticultural displays. livestock, vintage tractors, the much-loved fur and feather tent, crafts and entertainment for all the family.
"Show highlights for this year have included the vastly increased classic car show and games organised by the Rob Stephenson Trust.
Alan added: "Livestock entries continue to grow from strength to strength with the judgin arenas proving a git hit and giving visitors a unique chance to get up close and personal with the animals and watch the judging.
"Once again thanks goes to our sponsors and trade stans supporters - the show wouldn't be a success without them, in particular to BATA for once again being our main sponsor this year.
“Scampston is a lovely showground and we were very lucky with the weather - it has been perfect."
