POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist collided with a car on a Ryedale road.

The crash involved a motorcycle, which was within a group of three motorcycles, colliding with a car heading in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist suffered a serious foot injury and was taken by ambulance to Scarborough Hospital where they were treated and discharged following treatment.

The collision happened on the A170 between Kirkbymoorside and Pickering at about 6.30pm on Monday, June 19.

A police statement said: "We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
