TWO drivers sustained serious injuries in a crash in North Yorkshire.
The collision, involving two cars, happened near Scarborough, on the B1261 Main Street at Seamer, at around 3.15pm on Saturday.
A woman aged in her 60s, driving a light-coloured Kia Picanto, suffered serious injuries, a spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said.
The driver of a blue Citroen C5, a man aged in his 60s, was taken by air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment to abdominal injuries, the spokesman added.
"The Citroen was heading south towards Staxton when the head-on collision occurred with the Kia, which was travelling in the opposite direction," the spokesman said.
A full road closure was put on at the collision scene with a diversion in place.
The road re-opened just after 9pm.
Anyone who recalls seeing either the Citroen C5 or the Kia Picanto prior to the crash or the collision itself, are urged to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Neale Rees.
