THE stunning Castle Howard in Bloom Flower Festival is a delight for anyone who loves gardening, flowers or simply a lovely day out in beautiful surroundings – and we have a pair of tickets to give away.

Adorned with cascades of colour in the Great Hall and floral displays throughout the historic rooms, not only will the house look superb but the gardens will be in full bloom and looking their best.

Live demonstrations and talks by some of the UK’s most celebrated international floral designers and exclusive garden tours will form part of the four-day event, which runs from Thursday, June 29, to Sunday, July 2, giving visitors a chance to be inspired by the wonderful creations and gardens.

Experts taking part this year include Fiona Pickles of Firenza Floral Design - named by The Telegraph as one of the top 20 creative florists in the country, who will be working solely with flowers, foliage and even vegetables and fruit picked from the gardens and Estate, Gaye Blake Roberts, curator of the Wedgwood Museum who will talk about “A Passion for Flowers”, and BBC Radio York’s resident expert Martin Fish, who will be offering tips and advice on growing garden plants for flower arrangements.

The Gazette & Herald has three pairs tickets to giveaway, which includes admission for two people to the house and gardens on any one day during the festival.

To be in with a chance of winning, just answer the following question and send your answer, along with your name, address and daytime phone number, to Castle Howard Flower Festival competition, Gazette & Herald, 84-86 Walmgate, YO1 9YN, or email gazette@gazetteherald.co.uk, by Wednesday, June 14.
