HERE'S six walks taking place in North Yorkshire this month.
Ryedale Walking Group will be doing the following walks during the first half of June.
- Sunday, June 4: Helmsley Treasure Hunt, easy, park/start 3pm, Helmsley Market Place, grid reference SE612838. It will be followed by a meal at The Feathers, Helmsley, if walkers wish.
- Wednesday, June 7: Blakey Ridge and Rosedale circular, 5.3 miles (moderate), park/start 6.30pm, Little Blakey car park 0.5 miles south of The Lion Inn, grid reference SE683990. Optional visit to Lion Inn afterwards.
- Saturday, June 10: Glaisdale circular, 6.75 miles (moderate+), park/start 10.30am, near cattle grid on Egton Bridge to Rosedale unclassified road, grid reference NZ779036.

Ramblers (Ryedale Group) walks for June are:
- June 11: 10am. Goathland Village Hall car park, grid ref.NZ 833 013, 10 miles. Leader J Harland. Dogs on short lead allowed.
- June 18: 9.15am. North York Moors Railway from Pickering (9.50am) to Goathland, then walk back, grid ref SE 797 842, 14 miles. Leader N Emery. No dogs allowed.
- July 2: 10am. Cropton Main Street, grid ref.SE 757 892, 10 miles. Leader A Strickland. No dogs allowed.
