WEAVERTHORPE Open Gardens on Sunday, June 25 will feature much more than a variety of gardens to look round.
There will also be the chance to meet and see artists, woodcarvers, a musical instrument maker, a photographic exhibition, a poetess and caricaturist and crafts.
Other venues in the village will also be opening up. There will be tea and cakes in the village hall, an Armed Forces Day Tribute with vintage tractors, a glamping site will host a fun dog show, Malton Museum will display objects and there will be plant sales, garden jumble, table top/garage sales.
The event, now in its fourth year, will take place from noon to 5pm. Entry by programme is £4 from the village hall or any participating garden. Accompanied children under 16 free.
Main proceeds go to Marie Curie. “Well behaved” dogs on short leads are welcome in most gardens.
