NAWTON Primary School is hosting its spring fair this weekend.
The Friends of the School, which raises funds to support trips and other activities, are holding a spring fair on Saturday, from 2pm to 5pm.
As part of the event, the Friends are also organising a scarecrow competition, which is open to everyone. The prize is a family day pass to Lightwater Valley.
There will also be the chance to win a weekend break for six in a “guess the number of balloons in car” contest.
The spring fair will include donkey rides, a chance to win a weekend break, a visit from a fire engine, cream teas, games and musical entertainment from the Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band.
Donna Foster, from the Friends, said: “Everyone is welcome to come along for a fun-filled family day out.”
Entries for the scarecrow competition should be taken to the school on the day of the fair before 2pm.
