POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after someone tried to burgle a farm in the North York Moors - only to be frightened off by an alarm.
It happened on a farm near Danby Castle at forty minutes past midnight in the early hours of May 17.
Police said that an unknown offender(s) approached a secure outbuilding and forced open the lock.
The offender or offenders were then scared off when an audible alarm started going off.
Police are now conducting enquiries around the incident and are also reminding rural communities to review their security arrangements of their property.
