SCARBOROUGH-based Raven, is performing at Helmsley Arts Centre on Friday 26th May at 7.30pm.

The band have after performing at other numerous North Yorkshire areas, events and venues including: Grassington Fringe Festival, SeaFest, Coastival and Filey Festival.

Whilst playing at Selby Abbey and Castle Howard they gained popularity for their blend of original music with totally enchanting harmonies and infectious melodies. Their music takes you on a fabulous journey through a fusion of rootsy folk, beautiful acapella, crunchy chords and sizzling salsa. Between the members, the girls play a vast array of instruments including the keyboard, penny whistles, accordion, guitars, flute, congas, ukulele, recorders and a variety of hand percussion.

Their intimate themes are inspired by love, life and nature and using these, the girls have produced seven albums, their latest being Dance of Love released in 2014; they are currently working on a new album to be released later in 2017.
